Our privacy commitment
FIXCraft is a developer tool for parsing, editing, validating, and regenerating FIX protocol messages. The extension does not require an account, does not include advertising, and does not use analytics or tracking technologies.
Data processed by FIXCraft
FIXCraft processes information you intentionally paste, create, or edit in the extension. This can include raw and edited FIX messages, field values, account or party identifiers, trading information, and locally named message templates.
Parsing, field lookup, BodyLength calculation, CheckSum calculation, validation, and serialization are performed locally. FIXCraft does not transmit FIX messages to a remote server, the developer, or another company.
Local storage and retention
Messages pasted into the editor are held in the extension interface for the current browser session. If you explicitly save a template, the template name and message are stored only in browser-local storage on your device.
Locally saved templates remain until you delete them or remove the extension. FIXCraft does not create cloud backups or synchronize templates to an external service.
Chrome permission
FIXCraft does not request access to browsing history, page content, cookies, downloads, tabs, location, camera, microphone, contacts, or external websites.
Your choices and controls
- Delete individual templates from the Templates view.
- Clear extension data through Chrome's extension settings.
- Remove FIXCraft to delete its browser-local data.
- Use the editor without saving any templates.
Policy updates and contact
We may update this policy when FIXCraft's functionality or legal obligations change. Material changes will be reflected here with a new effective date and, when required, in the Chrome Web Store listing.
